MPE-Garry your competent partner for stamped parts

Besides the manufacturing of high quality connectors MPE-Garry is a centre of competence for precision stamped parts. With totally 15 high-speed precision punch presses with press forces up to 300 kN MPE-Garry has a total capacity of about 3 million parts per shift. Image processing systems for continuous quality monitoring are used for real-time quality control during production. An in-house fully equipped tool shop enables MPE-Garry to react very quickly on customers demands.

Additionally to the manufacturing of stamped parts MPE-Garry is also focusing on a qualified project consulting and a complete solution for the customer.

Over the last 10 years MPE-Garry has permanently extended their product portfolio in the area
of wire to board connectors.

Starting with standardised IDC-connectors MPE-Garrys product range now carries a wide
range of versions such as crimp, solder cup or fine pitch FFC connectors.
This extensive range of products is presented on MPE-Garrys homepage under www.mpeconnector.de.
To have a perfect platform for presenting this range of products, MPE-Garry has produced a
sample board where the most popular parts are mounted on.
With this board, customers have the possibility to inspect the mounting of these parts and also
try the mating and unmating forces together with the different available locking systems.
The sample board is packed in a nice case and will be with every outside sales person from
MPE-Garry and their distributors.

To get as easy as possible, details like drawings or technical data for one of these parts MPEGarry
has installed a special tool on its homepage.

This is called W2B-Selector and every part on the board can be selected with a magnifier.
When placing the magnifier over a part, the part itself and the mating parts will be shown on
the right hand side of the screen.

Next to this there is a “Show details” link which guides directly to the corresponding data sheets
with all informations.

From this data sheet there is a possibility to order samples or ask for a quotation.

Als verantwortungsvoll denkendes und handelndes Unternehmen hat Firma MPE-Garry GmbH einen Beitrag zur sicheren Lieferkette ( „supply Chain“ ) geleistet.

As a company which is very aware of its responsibilities MPE-Garry made a significant contribution to a safe supply chain.

The worldwide globalisation as well as the changed security situation has forced the World Customs Organisation to release a „Framework of Standards of Secure and Facilitate Global Trade“ (SAFE) and set international standards for a modern and effective risk management in all customs organisations.

The European Union has implemented these security relevant aspects into European law in April 2005 with customs code (VO (EG) Nr. 648/2005) and enacted it with the publication of the implementing provisions (VO (EG) Nr. 1875/2006) in December 2006. A main element of this law is the implementation of the status Authorised Economic Operator (AEO).

On November 18^th. 2011 MPE-Garry received from the main customs office in Augsburg the AEO-Certificate „simplification of customs clearance /security“ (AEO-F). With this certificate MPE-Garry has reached the status of a Authorised Economic Operator Level F.

To reach this status a good number of organisational and safety relevant changes have to be implemented such as:

• Correct compliance with al custom processes and regulations

• System security of all accounting and logistic processes

• Controlled and save material flow from the receiving to production over warehousing to shipping.

• All customs processes like customs declarations and accompanying documents.

• Information security – Protection of all computer systems and documents

• Safety requirements regarding the international supply chain

• Special safety requirements in our building.

Die zunehmende Globalisierung und die veränderte internationale Sicherheitslage haben die Weltzollorganisation (WCO) veranlasst, mit einem „Framework of Standards of Secure and Facilitate Global Trade“ (SAFE) weltweite Rahmenbedingungen für ein modernes und effektives Risikomanagement in den Zollverwaltungen zu schaffen.

Die Europäische Union hat diese sicherheitspolitischen Aspekte im April 2005 mit der Änderung des Zollkodex (VO (EG) Nr. 648/2005) in europäisches Recht umgesetzt und mit der Veröffentlichung der Durchführungsvorschriften (VO (EG) Nr. 1875/2006) im Dezember 2006 konkretisiert. Ein wesentliches Element dieser Sicherheitsinitiative ist die Einführung des Status des Zugelassenen Wirtschaftsbeteiligten (ZWB): Authorised Economic Operator (AEO).

Die Firma MPE-Garry GmbH hat mit Wirksamkeit zum 18.11.2011 vom Hauptzollamt Augsburg das Zertifikat AEO F „Zollrechtliche Vereinfachungen/Sicherheit“ erhalten.

Damit dieser Status AEO F erreicht werden kann, müssen umfangreiche organisatorische und sicherheitstechnische Bedingungen erfüllt werden:

• Einhaltung der Zollverfahren und Zollvorschriften

• Systemsicherheit des Buchführungs- und Logistiksystems

• Sicherer Ablauf des Materialflusses, vom Wareneingang über die Fertigung, Lagerung und Versand

• Zollförmlichkeiten, Zollanmeldungen, Begleitdokumente und zollrechtliche Anschreibungen

• Informationssicherheit – Schutz der Computersysteme und Unterlagen

• Sicherheitsanforderungen welche die internationale Lieferkette betreffen

• Physische Sicherheit im Firmengebäude und den entsprechenden Logistikprozessen

Am 1. Juli 2011 war es soweit, die neu errichtete Photovoltaikanlage bei MPE-Garry in Füssen nahm Ihren Betrieb auf. Die Anlage besteht aus 956 Modulen mit einer Anschlussleistung von 177 KWp, was einer jährlichen Stromerzeugung von ca. 177 MWh entspricht.

Bei der Konzeption der Anlage wurden neben den qualitativen Eigenschaften vor allem Wert darauf gelegt, dass die zum Einsatz kommenden Produkte in Deutschland gefertigt wurden. So kam bei den Modulen die Firma ALEO Solar AG, von der Stiftung Warentest mit der Bestnote „gut“ bewertet, zum Einsatz. Für die Unterkonstruktion wurde das bewährte Solar Montagesystem der Firma Schletter GmbH aus Oberbayern verwendet. Bei den Wechselrichtern  haben wir uns für die Firma SMA Solar Technology AG entschieden.

Auch bei der Einbindung der Photovoltaikanlage ins Netz der Stromversorgung wurde bei MPE ein neuer Weg gewählt. So wird der erzeugte Strom sofort an Ort und Stelle, also im Werk selbst, verbraucht und nur die überschüssige Energie wird ins öffentliche Netz der Elektrizitätswerke Reutte eingespeist. Auch bei dem Bezug von Strom achten wir seit Jahren auf den Umweltschutz, den Strom welchen wir vom Elektrizitätswerk Reutte beziehen ist zu 64 % aus erneuerbarer Energie ( Wasserkraft ) und 23 % fossilen und sonstigen Energien.

Ein weiteres Augenmerk lag bei der Anschaffung der Photovoltaikanlage auf der C02-Reduzierung. So können wir hier jährlich bis zu 123t CO2 einsparen und somit einen weiteren Beitrag in Sachen Klimaschutz leisten.

Aber schon vorher wurden bei MPE-Garry viele Investitionen zur Energieeinsparung getätigt.

• Intelligente Steuerung der Lichtbänder
• Zeitgesteuerte Abschaltung von Beleuchtungen
• Frequenzgeregelte Motoren bei der Lüftungs- und Klimaanlage
• Nutzung der Abwärme von Kompressionsanlagen
• Zeitgesteuerte Abschaltung der Druckluft

Durch die Photovoltaikanlage leistet MPE-Garry einen weiteren Beitrag zum aktiven Umweltschutz.

Vom 01.07.11 bis 31.12.12 wurden mit dem Solarkraftwerk 298 MWh Strom gewonnen und 208t CO2 vermieden.
